On Friday evening, I tripped over the usb cable that attaches to my MotoQ. I broke my computer. I had hoped it was just a bios issue or possibly something loose. Then last night, while tinkering with it, it actually smoked. Something on the Motherboard fried. Alas, no PC. I am at the local library using their PC now. I don’t have the finances or resources to replace my PC very quickly.:(
Until I am back up and running, I won’t be posting as much for at least the next two weeks. This makes me very sad. NO PC makes me very sad.

Last week my nieces and I made a lemon layer cake for their uncles 21st birthday. It was so good that the oldest, 9yrs, decided that she just had to have more. I mean, she acted like an addict! She kept looming around the cooling cakes and tapping her fingers together. I had to make her hold her infant brother so she would not sneak back in and steal chunks of the cake! She even said, “Oh, come on, Aunt Heather – just let me have a little, we can make another. My Grandmother baked with it, I have seen a few people drink it on television commercials, but I have never heard of it in an icing. I guess I have been living under a rock.
A girlfriend of mine is turning 30 on Tuesday so I decided to bake her a cake. I wanted to make anything she wanted but she asked for Almond layer cake with amaretto filling which basically sounded like a foreign language when she spoke it, a series of clicks and grunts. This is not the National Geographic Channel, girl!
