Strawberry Delight

I FINALLY BAKED!! I baked 2 round, double-layered strawberry cakes, aptly named Strawberry Delight Cake by my Grandmother on Friday night. It is a simple vanilla cake recipe to which I added partially thawed frozen strawberries in light syrup. The frosting was merely butter, confectioners sugar and vanilla. After mixing / whipping the buttercream frosting, I slowly added strawberries so as not to dampen the consistency. They were gone by Saturday afternoon. I myself had 3 slices.
