I survived a 10 year olds birthday party this past weekend.  I survived said party attended by twenty-seven 10 year olds.  There was a karaoke DJ, a face painter and a seriously loud sound system.  Those kiddos were rockin’ out! Days like today remind me how much I detest thieves. Someone stole my camera.  Not once, not twice, but three different times.  I’m beginning to lose my sense of humor regarding digi-cams.  (that’s an under statement!) I really would like to buy a new digi-cam but the paranoia of someone stealing it again has kept me from doing so for over a year.  If they weren’t so effing expensive, maybe I wouldn’t mind.  A couple hundred bux is still a wad of cash that could be better used somewhere else. My nieces birthday is coming up and they’ve decided on a Girls Rock karaoke party. So, it looks like I’m going to make the cake.  Wheat, gluten and dairy free chocolate, and I have decided on making her a 3D pink guitar, replicating the guitar on her invitations. I’m so excited that I bought gum paste today to play around with, WOO HOO!!  This will be my very first time working with fondant.
